The Story of Ernest Holmes and the Religious Science Movement
Reginald C. Armor

Paperback 176pg | 1999
Subject: New Thought / Religious Science

Here is a personal and informal memoir of Religious Science and Science of Mind founder Ernest Holmes, written with him from shortly after Holmes’ move to California in 1912 until his death in 1960. This is Ernest Holmes from up close, a half-century of day-to-day contact. Reg Armour was twelve years old when he first met Ernest Holmes; his whole adolescent and adult development was therefore in the shadow of this great spiritual pioneer and in the light of his great teaching. The dividend for this first pupil and “graduate” of Holmes’ transformative philosophy was a lifetime of growth and service, until his own passing in 1977. Above all, this is much more than a biography. It is a fresh, frank, undistorted account of what Reginald Armor observed, discussed, and learned from his long-time friend Ernest Holmes.

Reginald C. ArmorReginald C. Armor
A life long associate of Ernest Holmes, Reginald C. Armor was a member of the founding Board of Governors of the Institute of Religious Science and an Associate Minister of Founder’s Church in Los Angeles.

Reginald Armor was twelve when he first met Ernest Holmes in 1915. From that time until Holmes’ passing in 1960, they faithfully maintained a friendship and working relationship based on trust and respect, where even though Armor found himself in the shadow of this great spiritual pioneer, he absorbed much of the light this great teaching had to give. The dividend for this was a lifetime of spiritual growth and service, until his own passing in 1977.
